FilterMatic is a Complete Automatic Machine for Recycling Used Oil Filters
FilterMatic is completely automatic; all it takes to operate is placing a filter in the in feed chute. The filter is sensed at the bottom of the chute and the machine automatically starts. The machine even turns itself off automatically after 90 seconds without a filter.
FilterMatic works by automatically loading any standard size car and light truck spin on filter into the press. The hydraulic press shears the base plate off and simultaneously crushes the can and filter element with nearly 8 tons of force. When complete, the base plate and flattened element are deposited into separate bins and allowed to further drain. Oil is collected in the tank in the bottom of the machine. The oil tank has a fitting on either end for easy draining, or can automatically be pumped out with each cycle of the machine with the optional pump. Removable screens above the tank prevent unwanted debris in the oil.
Collected base plates and flattened elements are stored above the oil tank and allowed to drain prior to unloading. Unloading is simple by pulling the bin drawer out and tipping the bins to dump the contents into a separate container such as a standard 5 gallon bucket.
